She provided sales support and training for AT&T as an Onboard Trainer and Support Liaison for new hires, and as an AT&T Alliance Channel Technical Support Manager for Voice and Data Services, she managed a post-sales team responsible for expedite and escalations to assist in missed, critical events as well as the initiation of customer non-standard deliveries. Global Network – Rakesh led an initiative that replaced the global MPLS network with an IPSEC VPN solution reducing network costs by 50% and increasing redundancy by 100%.

WAN Acceleration – Implemented a strong network performance for remote users which increased by 10.

Mobility – Introduced the use of iPads in retail locations allowing for optimal customer engagement. In addition to iPads, Rakesh was able to reduce mobility costs 60% by implementing data pooling plans.

Security – In addition to participating in yearly PCI filings, Rakesh spearheaded the implementation of ForeScout Network Access Control. Implementing NAC provided immediate visibility to all devices connected to the network. In addition, the implementation was able to provide real-time status of a device.

Data Centers – Virtualization is a key benefit to having multiple Data Centers. Under Rakesh’s leadership the disparate Data Centers acted as one. Technologies implemented were Cisco Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV), EMC VPLEX, VMware virtualization. OTV, allowed subnets to span multiple locations. VPLEX, allowed for synchronous replication of data, virtualization allowed for more optimal use of hardware.

End-User Computing – By applying the appropriate equipment, teams were able to improve productivity by more than 30%.
